I forgot to wash my hands after handling raw pork...
I pulled some defrost ribs from the fridge today about at 1 ish and then handled them while i was prepping them for the BBQ. I then sat down to eat lunch, (sandwiches) i even licked my finger at one point from sauce... I was about 1/2 the way through my sandwich when i realized that i didnt was my hands (or atleast i cant remember washing them). I handled them briefly but i doubt that makes a difference. How much should i be worried? Its about 6 hours later and i feel ok but im a bit worried still and i think it might be upsetting my stomach (as i feel a tiny bit "full" ish).
Stupid mistake i know, just wasnt thinking.

Yes, you're fine, now stop thinking about it. You have a better chance of getting in a car accident than having a severe case of food poisoning from handling raw pork and not washing your hands.

People are way too oversensitive about food handling, thinking that every raw piece of meat is poisonous before cooking. People have been handling meat way worse that you just did throughout history and didn't get sick.
Yes, you should practice safe food handling, but don't overreact.
Glad that you feel ok

So i was up all night throwing up my guts...
no but seriously thanks for the touch of common sense guys. I appreciate it.
BTW the ribs turned out just awesome, made my own honey mustard sauce. Second best sauce i have ever made besides my traditional bbq one.

An ex gf-of mine used to eat raw bacon all the time, nothing ever happened to her.
Shame.

Canadian pork is essentially free from trichinosis, the last case found 50 years ago. But the fear of raw pork lives on, although it is not a problem like raw chicken.
In any case the pork parasites are killed by freezing, and you did this.

It's like forgetting to put on your seatbelt. It's quite likely that nothing would happen, but IF you happened to get into an accident, you'd be real glad you wore it.
